Chronic Kidney Disease Symptoms

Joanne Said:

can kidney disease or chronic failure go unnoticed?

We Answered:

books are all good.. but you can feel the symptons in advance. or you can feel the symptons MUCH later. i know people who have progressed so far without symptons that they were suddenly ill, taken to hospital and started on dialysis straight away. while with others, like me, i have had symptons since before 60ish% function.

Can kidney disease cause chronic feelings of fatigue?

We Answered:

When was the last time you went to your nephrologist? You need to be discussing this with him/her. Never seek online medical advice...it's a crap shoot at best. If your kidneys aren't working well, of course you'll be fatigued. But this is something you need to see your doctor about!!!!

Margaret Said:

if someone goes into stage 5 of Chronic Kidney Disease, what happens to them?

We Answered:

they will be in hospital because if the kidneys don't work the body starts to shut down and after about a week should give up - blood poisoning probably because its not getting cleaned out.

Honey I'm a nurse and kidney infections are very common. Especially if your sexually active. When the urine test came back what did it reveal? There must be a free clinic somewhere where you live. Your mother has to be able to get you insurance threw the state If you are unable to get on one or your parents. Get a full physical including a pap test and blood work w/ a CBC w/ Diff. I'm sure your just fine.

Chronic Kidney Disease?

We Answered:

I have Polycystic Kidney Disease and I am on dialysis. You are very young and your doctor should be checking your protein levels because you say you have headaches and don't feel hungry at times. You are nauseous because your kidneys are possibly shutting down since they are not able to rid your body of toxins. Taking a urine sample does not tell the whole story. You may need a complete CT scan to see what's going on with your kidneys. If you do indeed have a kidney problem, Medicaid will be able to assist you. Kidney disease has a lot of other symptoms, but because you have headaches, you may want to check your blood pressure more frequently, since high blood pressure is a side effect of kidneys not working properly. Go to a good urologist. Don't hesitate. In the meantime, eat cranberries or drink the juice.
