crohn's disease....tell me your story?We Answered:
What is Crohn's disease?Crohn's disease is a chronic inflammatory disease of the intestines. It primarily causes ulcerations (breaks in the lining) of the small and large intestines, but can affect the digestive system anywhere from the mouth to the anus. It is named after the physician who described the disease in 1932. It also is called granulomatous enteritis or colitis, regional enteritis, ileitis, or terminal ileitis

Does anyone else on yahoo answers have Crohn's disease ?We Answered:
I have Crohns but I am in my 30s.However, the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville TN has a GI doctor that specializes in Crohns disease in children...Dr. Moulden, I believe. The middle TN chapter of the CCFA also has a support group for children with Crohns.
Hopefully you know about the Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America. If not...www.ccfa.org
They also have great kids camps during the summer.

THIS IS MY COLLEGE ESSAY, IS IT READY TO BE SENT TO COLLEGES?We Answered:
It flows really nicely . . .But I am unsure as to what the college asked you. What was the prompt in the first place? Is this a college entrance essay or is it another one of the essays that asks you to explain your "disabilities"?If this is a college entrance exam that goes over something like "explain any physical disabilities/hardships that you have and how you overcame them" then you did a good job explaining your phsyical disabilities but you didnt do a good job explaining on how YOU cope with it. How did you win your battle with this disease? How have you come to terms with it? What have you learned about yourself when facing this disability? In fact you generalized it a bit too much. No one wants to know treatments, or what doctors think or what they can do. They want to know about YOU! So include some positives and it will look good.

This is my college application essay, how is it so far?We Answered:
Yea.. I agree you should mention more about ACADEMICS rather than your medical condition. And let me tell you i know exactly what IBS is and i know how horrible it can be. I mean the name itself sounds terrible but it's actually quite common.
